Hallam warehouse fire

Fire engulfed a Hallam warehouse on Thursday 9 November, causing the roof to collapse and sending smoke over surrounding suburbs.

The intense blaze caused the roof to collapse so firefighters were unable to enter the building. About 30 firefighters attended in 15 vehicles from brigades including Hallam, Narre Warren, Hampton Park, Narre Warren North, Dandenong and Frankston. They deployed Dandenong’s aerial ladder and the teleboom – small ladder – from Frankston, and firefighters wore breathing apparatus.
